Consultant Physician – General Medicine
Role Overview
Lead outpatient consultations, manage in-patient medical admissions, supervise critical adult triage, and conduct regular rounds in coordination with multispeciality surgical units.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct daily OPD clinics and evaluate acute as well as chronic medical disorders.
- Manage in-patient admissions, ICU consultations, and geriatric health assessments.
- Oversee infection triage, antibiotic stewardship, and preventive health screenings.
- Participate actively in departmental clinical audits and academic discussions.
Eligibility, Qualifications & Skills
- MD or DNB in General Medicine / Internal Medicine from an NMC-recognized institution.
- Permanent registration with Travancore-Cochin Medical Council (TCMC).
- Strong diagnostic competence and compassionate patient-handling skills.
