Study of Perceptions About Menopause and Healthcare-Seeking Behaviour Among Postmenopausal Women: A Cross-Sectional Study

Completed an academic research study exploring women’s perceptions and awareness of menopause, along with their healthcare-seeking behaviour during the postmenopausal stage.

The research examined the importance of awareness, access to healthcare services, and appropriate medical guidance in improving women’s health and quality of life. The thesis was accepted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

Dr. Minnu Thomas has actively participated in academic conferences and scientific presentations, demonstrating an interest in continuous medical learning and research.

• Third Prize – Quiz Competition, AFPICON 2022: Secured third place in the quiz competition conducted during the Kerala Annual State Conference of the Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPICON), 2022.
• Second Prize – Poster Presentation, AFPICON 2023: Received second prize for a scientific poster presentation at the Kerala Annual State Conference of AFPICON, 2023.
• Scientific Poster Presentations – AFPICON 2021 & 2022: Presented academic posters at the Kerala Annual State Conferences, contributing to scientific discussions and knowledge-sharing among medical professionals.

Professional Training & Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Successfully completed BLS and ACLS provider certification programmes conducted by the American Heart Association (AHA).

These certifications provide essential training in recognising and responding to medical emergencies, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and managing critical cardiovascular emergencies.
