Served as a Tutor in the Department of Anaesthesiology from 1984 to 2006, contributing to clinical services, medical education, and the development of anaesthesia practices. During this period, gained extensive experience in various specialised areas of anaesthesia and perioperative patient care.
Specialised Training & Clinical Expertise
- Paediatric Anaesthesia: Received specialised training in administering anaesthesia to infants and children, with a focus on safe and effective perioperative care.
- Laparoscopic Anaesthesia: Developed expertise in anaesthesia management for minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Painless Labour – Obstetrics & Gynaecology: Contributed to painless labour initiatives by supporting the use of appropriate anaesthesia techniques for pain relief during childbirth.
- Regional Anaesthesia in Orthopaedic Procedures: Gained experience in advanced regional anaesthesia techniques using Peripheral Nerve Stimulators (PNS), particularly for orthopaedic surgical procedures.
